Project Management
The Challenge

Keeping delivery aligned as complexity increases

Complex projects bring owners, designers, contractors, vendors, and specialist teams together under demanding schedules and shifting conditions. When responsibilities and decisions are not actively coordinated, issues sit unresolved, information becomes disconnected, and critical activities quietly lose momentum before anyone reports a problem.

Decima provides a hands-on management structure that connects teams, tracks actions, and keeps delivery focused on the project objectives. We take ownership of day-to-day coordination, set clear responsibilities and decision routes, stay close to the work, and follow actions through to closure rather than stopping at escalation or reporting.

Capabilities

The disciplines inside a Decima delivery team

Decima staffs project delivery as a single organization rather than a set of separate consultants. Each discipline below reports into the same project management structure, which is why an issue raised in design does not have to be rediscovered in procurement or on site.

Design Management

Coordinate the design disciplines, review cycles, comment resolution and approval gates so the design develops against the delivery program rather than alongside it. Interface management across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and network scopes, with constructability and long-lead implications raised while they are still cheap to fix.

Procurement & Contracts Management

Package strategy, tender documentation, technical and commercial evaluation, vendor selection and negotiation support, through to award. Contracts management then runs the administration: obligations tracking, correspondence, change control, claims analysis and close-out, kept aligned with the cost and schedule record so every commercial position is evidenced.

Permit Management

Map the permitting and utility-approval path for each site, own the submissions, and manage the authorities having jurisdiction alongside the construction sequence. On data center programs the approvals path frequently sets the critical path, so it is managed as a delivery discipline rather than an administrative task.

Construction, Commissioning & Health and Safety Management

On-site management of contractors, interfaces, progress, quality and health and safety, including construction QA/QC, through to commissioning, handover and operational readiness. The QA/QC activity on site is delivered against the quality management framework held in project controls. Safety planning, contractor safety oversight, site inspection regimes, method-statement control and incident management sit inside the delivery team rather than outside it.

Our Approach

Close to the work, accountable for the outcome

The approach adapts to the realities of each project, so coordination changes as scope, priorities, and delivery conditions change.

01

Establish

Set scope, responsibilities, decision routes, reporting, and the action controls needed to keep work moving from day one.

02

Coordinate

Run day-to-day coordination across designers, contractors, vendors, and owner stakeholders, keeping interfaces visible.

03

Resolve

Identify issues early, bring the right people together, and drive each one to a decision and a closed action.

04

Deliver

Maintain momentum through execution, commissioning, and handover, with quality and commercial position protected throughout.
